Nintendo DS Longplay [025] Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin (Part 1 / 2)

"I LOVE GOOOOOOOOOOOLD!!" With that said...the 2nd Metroidvania game released for the DS and a pretty long one. Set at World War II, Batman's Castle has risen, a vampire d00d claims it, a boy and girl appears, and the boy, son of John Morris (d00d from Castlevania: Bloodlines), can't use the full power of the Vampire Killer. Like Dawn of Sorrow, this game uses the anime thing again. New gameplay mechanic is dual characters, where you can have Jonathan and Charlotte out at the same time. There are also dual crushes, which is pretty much a co-op skill that uses a lot of MP, but can be very functional. Damage done to the the partner will decrease MP. It starts out pretty normal (go into painting, clear it, go to the next), and then it goes LOLSymphonyOfTheNight: 4 MORE paintings, which are just the same paintings but slightly diff'rent. Pretty original. Game info thingy: another 1000% Map Rate (that ain't no typo. Yes, I know: double negative and "ain't" isn't a word) on Normal mode. Both endings are in this video (defeating the sisters and defeating Batman). I do some quests, only enough to unlock the Nest of Evil. I do some of the requests even after unlocking the Nest of Evil. I don't bother doing a grind for skills, so that means I miss out on some Summon (Summon: Ghost) and Magic (Thor's ...
