Castlevania Judgment -- Trevor Belmont

Wow, time hasn't been so kind to Trevor Belmont, I guess...now he's an old adventurer who lost his eye. I know in the course of events in Curse of Darkness, Trevor appears just three years after having defeated Dracula with a scar on the skin near his otherwise perfectly functional eye. I'm sure there's a story there besides different art direction giving him a different look, surely. At any rate, this is Trevor from many years after his exploits as a successful vampire killer. The canonical version of events to Castlevania III state that he settled down with Sypha and parted ways with his two comrades at arms, Grant Danasty and Alucard. I can't exactly fathom why Trevor would be chosen at his advanced age, but I guess it's supposed to establish him as a different character from Light Yagami...uh, I mean Simon Belmont. It's all right, he's still a pretty cool old guy, I guess. He's certainly still pretty fast and packs quite a punch, so he's not exactly ready for retirement, it seems. He actually doesn't use his whip as much as Simon does, preferring many times to use his fist and rush into the fray directly. His whip strikes are of special consideration, however, since he can manage to strike targets at a surprising range with a very swift attack, leaving them open for further attacks. I actually managed to collect and put to use quite a number of sub-weapons this match, most notably the Cross, which is among my favorites for its powerful charged attack. The Axe sub ...
